It's been a strange season for Juventus.
They romped to an eighth consecutive Serie A title but without ever playing particularly well, while the entire campaign has been overshadowed by their shock Champions League quarter-final elimination at the hands of Ajax.
“Some people think we’ve failed, but we haven’t," Juve winger Juan Cuadrado argued.
"Going out of the Champions League was bad, but winning our eighth [straight] Scudetto stays in history."
The latter is certainly a monumental achievement and while several members of Massimiliano Allegri's squad coasted through significant chunks of the Serie A season, some really stepped up to the mark.

Below, Goal picks out the top three performers of Juve's 2018-19 campaign...
3. MOISE KEAN
Third place for a player who didn't start a Serie A game until March? You better believe it! Moise Kean was the revelation of Juve's season, the inspirational story that an entire country could get behind.
The striker didn't get a look-in during the first half of the 2018-19 campaign but there were never any doubts about his ability to flourish at the highest level.
Roberto Mancini handed Kean his Italy debut in November, while Juve's veteran defender Giorgio Chiellini convinced the teenager to stay in Turin at a time when he was becoming increasingly frustrated by a lack of first-team action.
Happily, when Kean's chances finally arrived, he took them, lots of them. Indeed, he announced himself as a potential superstar by netting in six consecutive games for club and country during the spring.
What's more, the Italian-born son of Ghanaian parents became a powerful, defiant symbol of the fight against racism with his silent celebration in front of the curva full of Cagliari fans that had been insulting him during Juve's win in Sardinia in April.
It was arguably the image of the Serie A season, from the young player of the Serie A season.
2. GIORGIO CHIELLINI
How on earth are Juventus going to replace Giorgio Chiellini? He will be 35 in August yet he remains not just the Bianconeri's best defender, but one of the best in the world.
The Italy international's significance to Massimiliano Allegri's side was hammered home in the Champions League, with Juve crashing out in the quarters while their captain was sidelined with a calf problem.
"Chillini is nearly as important to Juventus as Ronaldo and he wasn't there against Ajax," iconic coach Marcelo Lippi lamented after his former club's dramatic 2-1 loss in Turin.
Jose Mourinho claimed after watching his Manchester United side lose to Juve earlier in the season that Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci could give lessons on the art of defending at Harvard University but, as this season has underlined, it is the Pisa native who is the brains of the operation.
While Bonucci is far better on the ball, Chiellini is the far superior centre-back.
Unlike his central defensive partner, he rarely makes mistakes in possession or from a positional perspective and his remarkable consistency once again played a pivotal role in what was an eighth consecutive Scudetto both for him and his club.
1. CRISTIANO RONALDO
Juventus may not have won the Champions League but that was hardly Ronaldo's fault.
Indeed, the Bianconeri would not have even reached the quarters had it not been for the Portuguese superstar, who orchestrated one of the great European comebacks with a second-leg hat-trick against Atletico Madrid in the last 16.
Ronaldo also netted in both games against Ajax in the last eight, meaning he was the only Juve player to score in the knockout stage. There's only so much one man can do!
What's more, the 34-year-old also showed in Serie A that he doesn't just score goals, he can also create them too.
Ronaldo has not only struck 21 times in the league, he's also racked up eight assists.
The Capocannoniere award looks set to go to Sampdoria's evergreen forward Fabio Quagliarella but Ronaldo can content himself with the fact that he has been Juve's undisputed Player of the Season.
