A busy week of La Liga action brought more thrills and spills this past weekend as Valencia ended a three-game winless run with an eye-catching victory at Athletic.
Denis Cheryshev was the star of the show, finishing a slick passing move to roll-in the only goal of the game.
And there was another victory for Granada, who have been standout performers of La Liga this season and now sit second after seeing off Leganes.
Antonio Puertas was the match-winner, curling his long-range effort into an empty net after Leganes goalkeeper Juan Soriano had ventured out from his goal.
But the goal of the weekend arrived at Eibar, as Fabian Orellana waltzed through the Celta penalty area to seal a 2-0 win for Jose Luis Mendilibar’s side.
