Barcelona made up for last week’s Clasico disappointment by reclaiming top spot in La Liga this past weekend.
Captain Lionel Messi was once again the matchwinner, netting from the penalty spot to give his side a 1-0 win over Betis.
But the goal of the weekend came at Alaves, where Dani Parejo’s sensational free-kick earned a Valencia 1-1 draw.
Elsewhere, Japan international Take Kubo starred for Real Mallorca, striking the winner in a 2-1 victory at Eibar.
