VIDEO: Cristiano Ronaldo, Leroy Sane - The Ones to Watch in the UEFA Champions League

The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 resumes on Tuesday with two more massive games involving some of Europe’s very best.

But who will rise up above the rest and be crowned the UEFA Champions League Player of the Week, sponsored by Banco Santander?

Juventus brought in Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid to help end a wait of almost 25 years for another Champions League crown – and the competition’s all-time top scorer will have to be at his best to see them recover from a 2-0 first-leg defeat to Atletico Madrid.

The Portuguese has just one goal to his name in this season’s edition, but is certainly due a couple – nobody has taken more shots (35) than he has in the UCL this term.

Manchester City, meanwhile, will be out to finish the job against Schalke after a last-minute winner gave Pep Guardiola’s side a 3-2 victory in the first leg.

Former Schalke man Leroy Sane found the next level at his old home that night with a thumping free-kick and the Germany star will once again be looking to do some damage from distance.

He has scored a competition-best two goals from outside the box this season.

Voting for Player of the Week opens on Thursday.
