Silva, Rondon, Mkhitaryan and the Goal Pressure Index Team of the Week

Salomón Rondón came up trumps for Newcastle United on Saturday, netting twice to help the struggling Magpies see off Bournemouth at St James' Park.

The Venezuelan forward hadn't scored a Premier League goal for the Geordies prior to the weekend but went some way to making up for lost time with two well-taken goals which led to three crucial points.

His decisive contribution helped Newcastle to only their second win of the season and also earned him a solid score of 94/100 on the Goal Pressure Index, presented by Sure and powered by OPTA.

Joining Rondon in the Team of the Week is Manchester City's David Silva, who guided the Premier League champions to victory over their arch-rivals Manchester United on Sunday.

The silky Spaniard kept his composure to open the scoring and ensured City enjoyed near total control over United as they assumed their dominance at the Etihad, earning a hefty 93/100 in the process.

Another playmaker in the TOTW is Arsenal's Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who spared his side's blushes with a perhaps fortunate equaliser against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.

The Armenian international came on as a late substitute as Unai Emery's men strived to pull themselves level and made sure the Gunners' unbeaten streak remained intact with a curling effort that bamboozled Rui Patricio and helped him garner a score of 90/100.
