But Spalletti has revealed he would be keen to bring Musonda to Stadio Olimpico before the end of the month.

The Italian boss also suggested he would be looking to sign West Ham winger Sofiane Feghouli, who has struggled to make an impact at the London Stadium since arriving from Valencia during the summer transfer window.

"I started watching Feghouli and Musonda to see if they can give us a hand and, on this, I say yes," Spalletti told Calcio Mercato.

“[Frederic] Massara [Roma’s sporting director] will work with regard to this.”
