Alaba was withdrawn just 27 minutes into Madrid's eventual 5-2 rout over Liverpool on Tuesday after picking up a knock, while Rodrygo lasted 81 minutes before being hooked amid no visible discomfort. However, both players could endure an extensive spell on the sidelines after the club revealed injuries to their hamstring and thigh, respectively. Madrid stated that "progress will be monitored" before any news is revealed on their possible return date.
