Netflix launch Juventus documentary series 'First Team: Juventus'

Netflix have launched their football documentary 'First Team: Juventus' on the online streaming service.

The Old Lady feature in a three-part mini-series which offers behind-the-scenes access of the Serie A giants and is Netflix's first foray into association football following the success of American football series Last Chance U.

Described as a chance to "Follow renowned soccer club Juventus on and off the pitch as they attempt to win a seventh straight Italian title and achieve Champions League glory," the series gives fans a chance to see how Juve began the 2017-18 season and celebrated the 120th anniversary of the club.

The series is available in both English and Italian, with optional subtitles in Polish, German and French, ensuring fans from across the world can enjoy it.

This worldwide reach was part of the attraction for Juventus when they agreed to film the series, despite the cameras showing both the positives and negatives in Turin.

“It’s a source of pride that Juventus is the first football club to be the subject of a Netflix Original Docuseries,” said co-chief revenue officer Federico Palomba.

“Collaborations of this kind confirm our passion for innovation and being, in every sense, a sport entertainment brand. In this way, we are determined to reach Bianconeri fans across the world and millions of Netflix users, who thanks to this docuseries can get to know Juventus from every angle.”

First Team: Juventus is now available to stream worldwide on Netflix.
