Lyon winger Memphis Depay has sent a congratulatory message to former team-mate Joel Pereira after he made his debut for Manchester United.
Mata: I couldn't be more motivated
The Portuguese goalkeeper came on as a second-half substitute in Sunday's FA Cup clash with Wigan Athletic, a game the hosts comfortably won 4-0.
And it marked Pereira's first appearance for the first team, with the 20-year-old replacing Sergio Romero, himself standing in for David de Gea after the Spaniard was rested.
Memphis was sold to the Ligue 1 side earlier in the January transfer window, although is clearly still keeping up with how his former side are progressing without him.

And in a classy message to Pereira, the Dutchman passed on his congratulations to the youngster.
He wrote: "Congrats on your debut at Man Utd bro. Proud of you."
Pereira was recently recalled from a loan spell with Portuguese side Belenenses and is now considered third choice at Old Trafford, with Sam Johnstone having been allowed to join Aston Villa on a temporary deal.
