After helping the Lionesses win Euro 2022 last summer, Stanway completed a surprise move to Bayern Munich. In her maiden season with the club, she lifted the Frauen-Bundesliga title, with the subsequent celebrations taking place right in the heart of Bavaria's capital.
There was plenty of singing on the balcony from the championship-winning squad, but Stanway's rendition of Sweet Caroline - a song synonymous with England's Euros triumph - stood out from the rest.
"The biggest amount of stick was when I was singing Sweet Caroline," Stanway said on the latest episode of Box to Box.
"In the moment it didn't feel that bad. But when I watch it back, it's horrendous! We were all just on the balcony in the city. The guy said: 'Georgia Stanway, come on down'. And I'm looking down thinking, what have I done?
"He said: 'up next is your favourite song'. And then he's played Sweet Caroline. 'If you want to join in, here's the mic'. Based on the music I could here I was in tune, I was in line with the song, some of the words were a little bit hit and miss.
"When I watch it back on TV, I reckon the mic's gone straight to the TV and I've not been able to hear myself - and it's a mad techno version of Sweet Caroline."
During the episode Stanway also discussed her love of fishing and revealed that her childhood idol was Premier League all-time leading goalscorer Alan Shearer.
