Leroy Sane admitted he feels sorry after his goal ruined a bet which would have paid an incredible €34,200.
Embrace Pep's Man City for what they are
The punter placed a €2 bet on a correct score double - backing Atletico Madrid to beat Bayer Leverkusen 4-2 and Manchester City to win 4-3 against Monaco in Tuesday night's Champions League last-16 games.
While the gambler got the score in Leverkusen correct, he was one goal off in the City game thanks to Sane scoring in the 82nd minute.
The incredible loss was picked up by the media and Sane spotted it, posting a picture of the betting slip on Twitter and saying: "I read about it in the newspapers.... sorry for that poor guy".
Of course, Sane will have no regrets over getting his goal - his fourth in 20 games for City - which gave his side some breathing space in the tie.
