With the FIFA 19 Team of the Season (TOTS) event well underway, you might be looking for some extra coins to sign up some of game's best players for your Ultimate Team. One of the quickest and easiest ways to do just that is through Squad Battles (SB), a mode in which players challenge themselves against strong FUT squads controlled by the computer in order to earn rewards.
EA Sports release a featured squad each week which has been hand-picked by a celebrity or FIFA personality. This week is the turn of legendary Arsenal striker turned football pundit Ian Wright, who has decided to pay tribute to the end of the 2018-19 campaign with his personal Premier League Team of the Season. The former England forward has created a phenomenal team which unsurprisingly is packed with the new blue TOTS cards.
In goal is the Premier League's Golden Glove winner Alisson and his 95-rated TOTS card, as well as a ridiculous back four with 88-rated in-form Andrew Robertson, 88-rated Man of the Match Aymeric Laporte, 96-rated TOTS Virgil van Dijk and TOTS Trent Alexander-Arnold. Liverpool's wing-backs were phenomenal throughout the season so their inclusion isn't surprising, while Wright clearly likes to have a ball-playing centre-back considering his choice of Laporte to join up with van Dijk.
As for his midfield three, Wright has opted to play 98-rated TOTS Eden Hazard out of position in order to give his team more pace and firepower. Joining him in the middle of the park is Manchester City duo 94-rated TOTS Bernardo Silva and 93-rated TOTS Fernandinho, who offer more creativity and defensive stability to the squad.
Richard HeathcoteFinally, there's the front three, each of whom are sensational players in their own right. On the wings are 96-rated TOTS Sadio Mane and 96-rated Raheem Sterling, both of whom will cause all kinds of problems with their 99 pace and excellent dribbling skills. And up-front is 96-rated TOTS Sergio Aguero, who is absolutely lethal in front of goal with his 95 pace, 98 dribbling, 90 passing and 92 physicality.
After just missing out on the top four, Wright didn't include any Arsenal players in his starting 11, though 97-rated TOTS Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on the bench as a terrifying super-sub option considering his 99 pace. The bench also has room for the 86-rated inform card of Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser who has been linked with a move to the Gunners this Summer after a fantastic season.
If Aguero gets any chance at goal he's almost guaranteed to score, so marking him out of the game will be crucial to completing this challenge. In order to do that you will have to try and stop Eden Hazard, the only non-Liverpool or City player in the starting 11, who will have free licence to roam in the middle of the park to try and create something. Still, with Hazard running around up front with Silva and Fernandinho just behind him, you should be able to find a lot of space on the wings - especially when Robertson or Alexander Arnold push up.
Playing out wide will probably be your best bet at taking down this squad, especially with how strong crossing is in FIFA 19. Both of the wing-backs are under six feet tall so as long as you can find someone in the box who isn't being marked by van Dijk, you should be able to score a few headers and squeak out a win.
