Guardiola visits La La Land as Man City celebrate his birthday

The musical set the record for the most awards at the ceremony, and stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in the leading roles.

Guardiola's movie trip gave him a break from the regular La La Land of press conferences and media criticism.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss does not appreciate being asked certain questions from reporters, and gave a bemused post-match interview following the win over Burnley at the start of January where he avoided questions about Fernandinho's red card.

The Damien Chazelle-directed film is the current favourite for Best Picture at the Academy Awards, but City's chances of a victorious Premier League season look less likely as they currently sit 10 points behind Chelsea in fifth position.
