Despite matchweek 28 being short on fixtures, it certainly was not short on drama. We saw plenty of bombastic fantasy performances from Josh King’s hat-trick, to Oumar Niasse scoring a brace off the bench and Alfie Mawson registering yet another goal. Fortunately all 20 teams will be back in action next week but, for now, let’s look back on the star performers from the weekend that was.

GK: Joel Robles - Everton - 1 Game, 2 Saves, 1 Clean Sheet = 8 Points
When Everton signed Maarten Stekelenburg in the summer it seemed as if Robles’ days were numbered, but the Spanish keeper has been fantastic this season. He is currently tied for sixth in clean sheets despite having played about 900 minutes less than everyone ahead of him.
GettyDF: Phil Jagielka - Everton - 1 Game, 1 Clean Sheet = 7 Points
DF: Seamus Coleman - Everton - 1 Game, 1 Clean Sheet = 7 Points
DF: Alfie Mawson - Swansea - 1 Game, 2 Goals Conceded, 1 Clean Sheet = 7 Points
The English defender continues to be an under-the-radar fantasy option despite being tied for the second most goals among defenders (4). It is admittedly hard to own a defender from a team with such a low chance for clean sheets but, so long as he is your fourth or fifth option at the back, the upside definitely makes him rosterable.
MF: Ross Barkley - Everton - 1 Game, 2 Goals = 8 Points
MF: Michail Antonio - West Ham - 1 Game, 1 Goals = 8 Points
MF: Georginio Wijnaldum - Liverpool - 1 Game, 1 Goal = 8 Points
MF: Emre Can - Liverpool - 1 Game, 1 Goal = 8 Points
FWD: Joshua King - Bournemouth - 1 Game, 1 Penalty Miss, 3 Goals = 14 Points
GettyKing was highlighted in last week's preview and, boy, did that go well! He did miss the penalty that we predicted he would take, but later made up for it with a hat-trick and the most fantasy points in the league this week. Despite some tough fixtures on the horizon, King should continue to be productive as he currently boasts the best shot accuracy (65%) of all players with 40 or more shots.
FWD: Oumar Niasse - Hull City - 1 Substitute Appearance - 2 Goals = 11 Points
FWD: Romelu Lukaku - Everton - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Assist = 10 Points
After years of frustration, Lukaku seems to finally be an elite and consistent Fantasy option. He has now scored in four of the last five matches, tallying seven goals over that stretch. The continued development of Ross Barkley (also on this list) has helped ensure reliable service for the big Belgian. With Harry Kane and Zlatan Ibrahimovic both facing absences, Lukaku is now a must own.
