Many owners will have been left disappointed by yet another double game week this season. This time there were plenty of players that performed, they just weren't ones that everyone was rushing to buy.
Only two members of our Team of the Week are more than 15 per cent owned as rather than all those big clubs with double game weeks, it was West Ham who stole the limelight.
Five of the eleven highest scoring players hailed from David Moyes’ side, and keep reading to see who else featured as the best players from MW37.
GK: Adrian - West Ham - 2 games, 9 saves, 2 clean sheets = 18 points
DEF: Marcos Alonso - Chelsea - 2 games, 1 goal, 1 goals conceded. 1 clean sheet = 15 points
It’s been a strange season for Alonso. He’s actually blanked in more matches than not this season, but still leads all defenders in points in the Goal game with 161. As for this week, Chelsea have to win if they are to have any chance of ending Sunday in the top four, so they should be playing their best XI. Alonso is a great option for MW38 considering the matchup is against a Newcastle attack that has failed to score in three of their last five matches.
DEF: Pablo Zabaleta - West Ham - 2 game, 2 clean sheets = 14 points
DEF: Angelo Ogbonna - West Ham - 2 game, 2 clean sheets = 14 points
Getty ImagesDEF: Aaron Cresswell - West Ham - 2 game, 2 clean sheets = 14 points
In a week where the four best defences were all in action, the Hammers were the only side to manage a double clean sheet in MW37. On the season, no defender has managed more assists than Cresswell, who has flown under the radar for the majority of the season. Depending on his price next season, the left back could be a fantastic Fantasy option.
DEF: Arthur Masuaku - West Ham - 2 game, 2 clean sheets = 14 points
MID: Leroy Sane - Man City - 2 games, 3 assists = 13 points
Everyone expected Manchester City to score plenty of goals this week, yet Sane wasn’t even one of the five most owned players at his own club. Those that did own him will be delighted with his hat trick of assists, even if they had to wait until the second of the two matches. Considering the amount of rotation happening at the club, the German looks a fantastic own as he has made nine of the last 10 matches racking up three goals and seven assists over that period.
MID: Alex Iwobi - Arsenal - 2 games, 1 goal = 10 points
MID: Riyad Mahrez - Leicester 2 games, 1 goal = 10 points
FOR: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - Arsenal - 2 games, 3 goals, 1 assist = 22 points
Anyone that failed to own Aubameyang will be kicking themselves as he ended up being our Goal Player of the Week. His three goals were just the latest confirmation that the Gabonese forward will be a huge asset for both Arsenal and Fantasy owners alike in the future. With the right managerial appointment over the summer, Aubameyang could easily become a must own next season.
FOR: Alexandre Lacazette - Arsenal - 1 game, 1 goal, 1 assist = 10 points
