Fantasy Football: Arsenal trio make our Premier League Team of the Week

Another week of Premier League action has come and gone and, unfortunately, we’ll have to wait almost two weeks until it’s back again. Chelsea, Arsenal, and Bournemouth will be very pleased to have racked up big wins at the weekend, though, before heading into the international break.

All three of those clubs won by at least three goals and landed at least one player in our Fantasy Team of the Week. Below you can find who they are, and who has joined them for match week eight.

GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga - Chelsea - 1 Game, 6 Saves, 1 Clean Sheet = 10 Points

We don’t often discuss goalkeepers, but this is the most expensive player at the position in the world after all. Sunday’s performance was Arrizabalaga’s best since joining Chelsea, racking up an impressive six saves en route to his fourth clean sheet in eight matches. While not a cheap ‘keeper option by any stretch, he’s proven his ability at this level now and could prove a solid Fantasy option in the right matchups.

DEF: Matt Doherty - Wolves - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Clean Sheet = 14 Points

Coming into this week, no defender had taken more shots without scoring a goal, but now Doherty is finally on the board. He should continue picking up attacking returns as well considering no one at his position has had more touches in the box in the league thus far. The fixtures look set to get tougher for Wolves in the coming weeks but, at just 5.8m, there are few better values in the Goal game.

DEF: Davinson Sanchez - Tottenham - 1 Game, 1 Assist, 1 Clean Sheet = 10 Points

DEF: Christopher Schindler - Huddersfield - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Goal Conceded = 8 Points

MID: Eden Hazard - Chelsea - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Assist = 11 Points

The Belgian winger has gotten off to an incredible start this season, having scored seven goals in the first eight matches of the season. He’s already the best player in the Goal game by some margin and is currently on pace to score an incredible 33 goals this season. Admittedly it’s unlikely that he’ll stay this hot all season, but he’s absolutely a must own on current form.

MID: Ross Barkley - Chelsea - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Assist = 11 Points

MID: Aaron Ramsey - Arsenal - 1 Substitute Appearance, 1 Goal, 1 Assist = 10 Points

MID: Gylfi Sigurdsson - Everton - 1 Game, 1 Goal = 8 Points

FOR: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - Arsenal - 1 Substitute Appearance, 2 Goals, 1 Assist = 14 Points

Aubameyang came off the bench for the first time this season and made the most of his limited minutes, racking up a brace and an assist in just 29 minutes. It remains to be seen how he and Lacazette will be used, but considering Arsenal have scored more goals than anyone but Manchester City, there should be plenty of goals to go around in theory.

You may want to wait until lineups are announced before adding either Aubameyang or Lacazette though, just to make sure you don’t waste a transfer.

FOR: Callum Wilson - Bournemouth - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 2 Assists = 13 Points

FOR: Alexandre Lacazette - Arsenal - 1 Game, 2 Goals = 12 Points
