Chelsea and Manchester City have handed starts to their big-money summer signings in the Community Shield, with Jorginho and Riyad Mahrez included from the off.
Neither club have been particularly busy during the current transfer window, with minor tweaks made to their respective ranks.
Maurizio Sarri, the new man at the Stamford Bridge helm, has spent £57 million ($74m) bringing Jorginho with him to England from Napoli, while Pep Guardiola has invested a club-record £60m ($78m) in Mahrez.
Both men will be hoping to impress at Wembley Stadium on Sunday as they chase down the first silverware of the season.
Willy Caballero, who endured a difficult World Cup with Argentina, will operate between the sticks for Chelsea, with Thibaut Courtois still on a summer break as speculation surrounding his future continues to rage.
Highly-rated forward Callum Hudson-Odoi is given an opportunity to impress on a senior stage at just 17 years of age, while Willian – another of those sparking plenty of transfer talk – is included among the substitutes.
City will also have a potential star of the future within their XI, as Phil Foden seeks to catch the eye and prove his worth.
Claudio Bravo gets the nod in goal, Sergio Aguero a spot up front and Fernandinho will captain the side.
