Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has lofty ambitions for his time at Arsenal, with there a desire on his part to follow in the footsteps of Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp.
The Gabonese forward completed a move to Emirates Stadium in January and was immediately charged with the task of leading the line under Arsene Wenger.
He has continued to figure on a regular basis under Unai Emery, while occasionally being shifted out to a wider role as Alexandre Lacazette competes for a sole central berth.
Aubameyang believes he is at his best when operating down the middle, but is happy to fill whatever role is required of him.
Arsenal icons Henry and Bergkamp did likewise in their playing days, with the ability to drift out to the flanks or provide creativity from deep allowing them to flourish in the Premier League.

“I prefer to play as a striker, but I'm a guy who wants to work for the team as well,” Aubameyang told Sky Sports.
“If they need me on the wing, I will play on the wing, of course. But I prefer to play up front.
“It's good when you are coming to work and you have great examples, Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, and it's great to try to follow that.
“We try to follow in their footsteps. It's not easy. It's not pressure, but you have to be good so you work for that.”

Aubameyang can endear himself further to the Arsenal faithful this weekend when taking in a north London derby date with Tottenham, with it possible that he could bring an old celebration out of the bag in that contest.
Asked if a Spider Man mask previously seen at Saint-Etienne and Borussia Dortmund could make an appearance on Sunday, the 29-year-old said: “We will see [if I bring out a mask], it depends on my mood. I remember the derby when I put on the mask of Batman with Dortmund, I had the idea on the morning of the game.
“I called my cousin and said okay, go buy this mask and it depends on the mood - I will see if I feel good maybe, why not. I'm in a good place now so we'll see.
“The first time I did it was with Saint-Etienne in France, and that was because it was one of my friend's birthdays who had played with me before.”
