WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>In theory, Xavi will only receive a two-match ban for his straight sending-off. However, due to this being the second incidence where the former midfielder received a red card, he could be given an extra game ban by the league for being a repeat offender, according to <em>Diario Sport</em>. If he does miss three games, the World Cup-winning midfielder will have to take his place in the stands when Barcelona take on Real Madrid on April 21.</p>
