<p>After a social media account reported that Humphrys had agreed to join Wycombe in a £325,000 deal and would sign a two-and-a-half-year contract, the 26-year-old striker has insisted there is no truth to the claims.</p>

WHAT HUMPHRYS SAID

<p>The news that Humphrys has not reached such an agreement with Wycombe will come as good news to Wrexham. The <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/wrexham-transfer-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-phil-parkinson-red-dragons-bid-for-wigan-striker-stephen-humphrys/blt5879e5d1040e1e15" target="_blank">Welsh team have reportedly made a bid for the former Hearts and Fulham player</a> as they look to strengthen in attack to boost their hopes of securing promotion to League One. Humphrys is currently playing in League One with Wigan and has scored seven times in the third tier this season.</p>

<p>The League Two team will hope for late developments regarding their efforts to sign Humphrys from Wigan before the January transfer window closes. The Red Dragons will want a new forward in place before they meet Salford in the league on February 3.</p>
