The Red Dragons are <a href="https://x.com/RobRyanRed/status/1752663645601874074?s=20" target="_blank">understood to be in advanced talks t</a>o land the 28-year-old ahead of Thursday night's transfer deadline and it is believed a deal would eclipse the £300,000 ($380,000) the club paid to AFC Wimbledon for Ollie Pope during the 2023 January window.

If Wrexham indeed land Lindsay, the deal will have some familiar hallmarks. THE BIGGER PICTURE

Reynolds and McElhenney's arrival has seen a significant ramp up in Wrexham's transfer expenditure. Palmer, McClean and Ben Tozer are among their top five most expensive signings. Before the Welcome to Wrexham era the club's record arrival had been that of goalkeeper Andy Marriott from Nottingham Forest all the way back in 1994.
