WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>After winning the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wrexham-story-ryan-reynolds-owned-national-league-title/bltc41969ec8e37de0e" target="_blank">National League</a> and securing automatic <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wrexham-promotion-league-one-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-forest-green-rovers-mk-dons-barrow/bltc8ffdccfc813e664" target="_blank">promotion from League Two</a>, Wrexham are aiming to get out of League One at the first attempt. If they do so, they will become the first team to secure a third straight promotion in the top five levels of the English football pyramid.</p>

<p>Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds' Wrexham side begin their League One campaign against Wycombe Wanderers on August 10 at home, before taking on Sheffield United in the first round of the Carabao Cup three days later.
