The Welsh side have shown an interest in signing the 26-year-old from their League Two rivals in the January window, according to <a href="https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2024/01/16/exclusive-sunderland-and-derby-county-interested-in-signing-league-two-goal-machine/" target="_blank">HITC</a>. The attacker has scored an amazing 19 goals in 26 league matches this season, adding another in the FA Cup.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Langstaff impressed for County last season when they battled Wrexham for the National League title and were promoted alongside them, with the Red Dragons being crowned champions. Langstaff's name came up <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/macaulay-langstaff-told-f-ck-off-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-wrexham-owners-notts-county-striker-peaky-blinders/blt117854efb8fbcd42" target="_blank">in a discussion on the Welcome to Wrexham documentary</a>."Macaulay Langstaff, he can f*ck off," McElhenney said of him. Reynolds then added: "Yeah, god that guy is good. He's handsome as f*ck. He looks like he could be in Peaky Blinders."

WHAT REYNOLDS & MCELHENNEY SAID

Wrexham will face a big battle to lure the forward from Notts County, however. While their League Two rivals will hope to keep their star forward, Championship sides Birmingham and Sunderland have also been linked, as have League One teams Peterborough and Derby County.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Wrexham are in action against Newport County in League Two on Saturday. Then, on January 29, they will take on Blackburn in the FA Cup - although <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wrexham-reynolds-mcelhenney-fa-cup-blackburn-tv/blteef9fe91426d8cbf" target="_blank">that game has not been selected for TV broadcast</a> despite the Welsh club's growing popularity.
