<p>Former England international Vardy is now 38 years of age and it has been confirmed that he will be <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/jamie-vardy-reynolds-mcelhenney-wrexham-leicester-exit-emotional-message/blt696d6f13d35850d7" target="_blank">leaving Leicester as a free agent this summer when his contract expires</a>. He will walk away having suffered relegation out of the top flight in 2024-25.</p>

<p>Vardy may, however, be given the opportunity to guide somebody towards the big time. A return to his roots at Sheffield Wednesday has been mooted, while a blockbuster script could be written if he <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wrexham-jamie-vardy-transfer-leicester-championship-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-promotion/blt8c9a198a84e01ff3" target="_blank">joins Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney at Wrexham</a>.</p>

<p>Redknapp, a man with vast Premier League experience to his name as a coach, believes <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-36m-spending-room-wrexham-transfer-boost-exhilarating-proposition-red-dragons-not-far-behind-championship-big-hitters/blt6ec568c85a59aa98" target="_blank">Vardy would be a shrewd addition at SToK Racecourse</a>. His track record in the EFL suggests that he is still capable of delivering at that level.</p>
