Not long after midfielder <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wrexham-andy-cannon-new-contract-midfielder-really-exciting-times-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney/blt3da1070503c7cd4e" target="_blank">Cannon signed a new deal until the summer of 2026</a>, with the option of a further year, Irishman McClean was on the 28-year-old's case in light-hearted fashion. He joked that someone will be able to do some of his chores around the house following the former Hull City man putting pen to paper on a new contract.

In response to Wrexham posting on Instagram about Cannon's contract extension, the winger wrote in his Instagram story: "Ahh for fs. The goal is to become the first club to earn three consecutive promotions within the top five levels on the English football pyramid.
