They have spent well. You look at Birmingham who have spent a lot of money, the Jay Stansfield signing is a signal of their intent, but when you are able to spend money to buy players that are better than the league you’re playing in, you give yourself a chance of promotion. I fully expect Wrexham to go on, and only two teams go up automatically in League One so it’s going to be interesting.“I fancy Huddersfield to be strong, although they got beaten over the weekend, Birmingham are going to be very strong too. Between Wrexham, Huddersfield, Birmingham and Stockport, I think there will be the two automatic promotion winners. You know Wrexham, they will go again in the January transfer window if they’re there or thereabouts (at the top). It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Wrexham go up again. It’s a very, very competitive league, so it’ll be interesting to see, but I fully expect Wrexham to be either in first or second, or in the play-offs.”
