<p>City looked set to drop points for the third time this season as they stayed level on terms with Wolves, who were putting on a sound defensive effort at Molineux. The hosts took a surprise lead early in the game through Jorgen Strand Larsen but were pegged back by Josko Gvardiol's wonder strike. It wasn't clicking for City through the second half until Stones scored from Phil Foden's corner in the fourth minute of injury time to put Pep Guardiola's side in the lead. The on-field referee ruled the goal out as Silva was considered to be interfering with Wolves keeper Jose Sa from an offside position, however, VAR stepped in to allow the goal to stand.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The Premier League Match Centre explained the Video Assitant Referee's decision to allow the goal on X, in a post that read: "Stones’ goal was disallowed on-field due to Bernardo Silva being in an offside position and in the goalkeeper’s line of vision. The VAR deemed Bernardo Silva wasn’t in the line of vision and had no impact on the goalkeeper and recommended an on-field review.
