<p>Chelsea stars had been left asking "What's happened to Misha?" after the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/mykhailo-mudryk-chelsea-winger-another-setback-missing-blues-last-two-games/blt294f702479c3e52c#cs39fd9107b3ae4664" target="_blank">Ukrainian star was absent from the club's training ground</a> for two weeks before <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/chelsea-winger-mykhailo-mudryk-suspended-football-positive-drugs-test/blt806dfe0a81fb7a04" target="_blank">his positive drugs test was announced</a>, according to <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/12/17/mykhailo-mudryk-misha-doping-chelsea-missing-test/" target="_blank"><em>The Telegraph</em></a><em>. </em>Mudryk's absence was said to be "at least partly" down to illness, with his last appearance for Chelsea coming at the end of November against Heidenheim in the Europa Conference League.</p><p></p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Mudryk is now facing more time out of action after being <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/chelsea-winger-mykhailo-mudryk-suspended-football-positive-drugs-test/blt806dfe0a81fb7a04#cs57808d8727d06fb7" target="_blank">provisionally suspended following a positive drugs test</a>. The forward cannot currently play or train with the Blues and is waiting for the  results of a ‘B’ sample. Mudryk has spoken out about his shock at testing positive and has reportedly employed the same law firm that represented <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/paul-pogba-law-firm-represent-mykhailo-mudryk-doping-ban-chelsea-suspension-overturned/blt152aabd75d852e72#cs1c4aa31e3380361c" target="_blank">Paul Pogba in his appeal against a doping ban</a>. Pogba has recently <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/paul-pogba-juventus-midfielder-doping-ban-reduced-following-appeal/blt5e2f1cac38c2d0c4" target="_blank">seen his four-year suspension reduced to 18 months on appeal</a>.</p>

<p>Mudryk's positive test contained traces of the banned performance-enhancing substance meldonium. Under Football Association rules, he could potentially be hit with a four-year ban from football.</p>
