It was a wasteful, wasteful day for Juventus, who could have scored several goals in the first 45. Dusan Vlahovic had several opportunities for Juve to seize the lead, while Samuel Illing Junior and Andrea Cambiasso also squandered big chances for the Bianconeri. Overall, it was an unusual performance from Juve, who were the aggressor throughout despite normally being content to sit back and let the game come to them.Napoli, meanwhile, were clinical. Spurred on by the home fans in the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia found the back of the net in the 42nd minute, stunning the visitors just before halftime to give Napoli the lead.Juve, though, did fight back late, with Federico Chiesa netting an 81st-minute goal. Left in a bit too much space, the Italian attacker was somehow able to pick out a corner on the far post, leveling the match in the final moments.The scoreline didn't last long, though, as Victor Osimhen was dragged down in the box just moments later. After a VAR review, a penalty was given and, while Osimhen's original shot was saved, Giacamo Raspadori ran onto the ball to tap home, giving Napoli the 2-1 win.

WHAT HAPPENED?

With the loss, Juventus have conceded some ground to Milan, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-in/lists/usmnt-christian-pulisic-ac-milan-lazio/blt9fc8c2e2edbc2598" target="_self">who defeated Lazio on Friday in a chaotic match</a>. Juve sit one point above Christian Pulisic and co., with both teams all but finished in the title race due to Inter's surge. The league leaders have a 12-point advantage on Juve, despite playing one fewer match this season.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Juventus were playing without Weston McKennie, who is out of action with a dislocated shoulder. The midfielder's injury also looks likely to keep him out of U.S. men's national duty, which is a big blow for Gregg Berhalter's side given his form this season with Juventus.The club did have one American available, though, in Weah, who came off the bench midway through the second half to provide life to trailing Juve. Weah, though, like many of his Juve teammates, couldn't quite get anything going in the attacking end as he was relatively quiet in his substitute appearance.

USMNT IMPACT

Tim Weah (6/10):Wasn't bad, but didn't have much of a chance to do anything. Only had a handful of touches, even with Juve pushing for a result.

With no European matches on their schedule this season, Juventus remain fully focused on domestic matches in Italy. Up next is a return home to Turin on March 10, when they'll play host to Atalanta, who are fighting for a top-four spot.
