Weston McKennie's Juventus career is over - USMNT star training separately & won't have contract renewed as Serie A giants aim for immediate sale

GOAL understands that while McKennie has returned to Juventus training after his post-season vacation, the midfielder is training separately from the first-team group. The USMNT midfielder's contract expires in 2025, and the Italian club have made the decision to sell him this summer, as they have no intention of extending his deal.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Nevertheless, a clear signal was sent to the ex-Leeds United player regarding his future by manager Thiago Motta, <a href="https://www.goal.com/it/liste/i-convocati-di-thiago-motta-per-juventus-non-solo-chiesa-tutti-gli-esclusi/blt80dde3cf9f56ae61#csd4de894882fe2ae4" target="_blank">as he was left out of the squad for their friendly with Brest.</a>

McKennie made 38 appearances in all competitions last season but clearly Motta does not believe that he has a part to play in his Juve project.
