<p>Torres claims that, prior to the Club World Cup, Getafe reached an agreement to sign Garcia on loan from Real. Prior to the tournament, the 21-year-old had made just six first-team appearances. At the tournament, however, he has scored four goals in five games, and has also provided one assist.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Torres said, via <a href="https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/real-madrid/20250708/1002496653/presidente-getafe-desvela-acuerdo-gonzalo.html" target="_blank">Mundo Deportivo</a>: “We have an agreement with Gonzalo. There was a commitment that as long as he didn’t stay at Real Madrid he could come. This is an agreement from a month and a half ago with both the club and the agent. I have hope, if Gonzalito comes it would be a good help. We also have Víctor Muñoz committed, but he is at the World Cup too.”</p>
