Yamal was on the bench at kick-off, but came on for the injured Raphinha late in the first half. He rewarded his manager's faith — <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/barcelona-concerned-lamine-yamal-social-circles-16-year-old-bench/blt937c0e8bbfaabb15" target="_blank">and made his case for a start</a> — by turning in a scintillating showing and scoring his second Barca goal.

Xavi praised his winger after the game, telling reporters: "Lamine, with the ball, is amazing. He practically doesn't lose the ball, and he goes into every duel. Even apart from the goal, he was very good. He's an extraordinary talent."
