Ronaldo flew in to see his mother from Saudi Arabia in the middle of the night in order to make it to Madeira to celebrate her birthday on December 31. Images were then shared across social media by his <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/news/cristiano-ronaldos-sisters-who-how-many-siblings/1b2dz3675ajlg1a1mujdesm0qa" target="_blank">sister Katia Aveiro</a> when he gifted Maria Dolores the new car, which left the entire party stunned.Katia also praised Ronaldo for his kindness in a message to her <a href="https://www.instagram.com/katiaaveirooficial/" target="_blank">Instagram</a> followers, stating: "If she is happy, it is because her son remembers her and not because of the value of the gift. Honor your father and your mother and your days on earth will be long."

Ronaldo can now enjoy a short break away from football with his family, with his Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr not set to play again until early February, when they will ace off against Al Feiha in the AFC Champions League.
