<p>The Argentine tactician took in 293 games as Spurs boss between 2014 and 2019, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/pochettino-explains-kane-champions-league-selection-call-but-steers-clear-of-spurs-future-talk/148qizujljat01r5dlkyarx0rl" target="_blank">leading them to the Champions League final</a> during his final full season with the club. He has since gone on to spend time with Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and the United States Men's National Team.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>He only <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/video-mauricio-pochettino-channels-lionel-messi-stunning-trivela-goal-inter-miami-training-usmnt-venezuela/blt8229365aa7c85752" target="_blank">took on a new challenge in America a matter of months ago</a>, in September 2024, but is already seeing a return to club management speculated on. It has been suggested that he could head back to north London before next summer’s World Cup finals – a tournament that the U.S. will be co-hosting.</p>

<p>Pochettino has not been quizzed on those links directly, but has told <a href="https://x.com/TheSunFootball/status/1890087288467755338 " target="_blank"><em>The Sun</em></a> of keeping a close eye on events in England: "I watch all the games that I can. And, of course, one of the teams that I always watch is Tottenham, for sure."</p>

WHAT MAURICIO POCHETTINO SAID

<p>Talk of change at Spurs has surfaced as <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/video-ange-postecoglou-tense-exchange-angry-tottenham-fan-savagely-told-youre-taking-us-down-leicester-loss/bltb1a63ec3edbbf25f" target="_blank">Ange Postecgolou struggles to deliver consistency</a> during his second season at the helm. Pochettino is, however, backing the Australian to turn things around. He added: "He's a great coach. Great club, great fans. It's impossible to say anything but good things about everyone there."</p>
