<p>Arsenal have already agreed on a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/arsenal-strike-total-viktor-gyokeres-agreement-sporting-cp-transfer-saga/blt2cd415c729c0fbe7#cs3aed1940a6e5ba9d" target="_blank">£64 million (€73.8m/$86.3m) deal</a> for the 27-year-old, and now the last pieces of the puzzle are coming together. The Gunners have, arguably, been in desperate need of an out-and-out number nine, and now they are seemingly set to sign this prolific striker in a statement signing.</p>

<p>Since swapping Coventry City for Sporting in the summer of 2023, the former Brighton man has scored a remarkable 97 goals in 102 appearances for the Portuguese giants. In that time, the ex-Swansea City loanee has won two Primeira Liga titles and one Taca de Portugal.</p>
