<p>Cucurella was happy to take centre stage during <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/video-lamine-yamal-dance-moves-spain-teenage-wonderkid-euro-2024-celebrations-madrid-final-england/blt588f0580f3fca7ae" target="_blank">a wild celebration event in Madrid</a>, as he took the microphone and serenaded those in attendance. To the tune of a terrace chant that has followed him from Brighton to Chelsea, the 25-year-old left-back said: “Cucu cucu-rella, he eats paella, Cucu cucu-rella he drinks Estrella, Haaland you’d better tremble because Cucurella is coming!”</p>

WHAT CUCURELLA SAID

<p>Ex-England international Gary Neville was among those to suggest that Cucurella may be a weak link in the Spanish side, claiming that it was difficult to see them “going all the way” with the Chelsea star in defence. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/chelsea-s-spain-cult-hero-marc-cucurella-fires-back-at-gary-neville-after-going-all-the-way-at-euro-2024-at-england-s-expense/blta9b776e7ae797824" target="_blank">Cucurella responded to that jibe after collecting the ultimate prize</a> by saying: “We went all the way Gary. Thanks for your support.”</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Cucurella will now get to enjoy a well-earned break after helping Spain to make history as four-time champions of Europe. After recharging his batteries, a return to pre-season training at Chelsea will be made ahead of their 2024-25 season opener against Haaland and title holders Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on August 18.</p>
