<p>An ill-tempered clash in Istanbul ended goalless, but it was definitely not without incident. The game was interrupted at one stage as flares rained down from the stands. There were 30,000 police officers on duty across the evening, with trouble brewing before, during and after.</p>

<p>In the aftermath of a fiery encounter, Portuguese coach Mourinho – who once again cut a lively figure on the sidelines - accused Galatasaray’s coaching team of “jumping like monkeys” on the bench, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/galatasaray-initiate-criminal-proceedings-jose-mourinho-fenerbahce/blt3ba1c65a2d7f706c" target="_blank">sparking a racism storm that has seen legal action threatened</a>.</p>

<p>Mourinho was <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/jose-mourinho-savaged-by-galatasaray-boss-after-derby-draw-fenerbahce/blt0d26fac60fd1f776" target="_blank">angered by a number of incidents</a> throughout the match, including one on the half-hour mark that saw Gala striker Osimhen take a tumble inside the box. His penalty appeals were waved away, but the Nigeria international made a pointing of aiming a shushing gesture in the direction of Mourinho – <a href="https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/jose-mourinho-fenerbace-galatasaray-result-osimhen-b1213000.html " target="_blank">leaving the Portuguese “triggered”</a>.</p>
