Osimhen has continually been linked away from Napoli, despite <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/chelsea-transfer-blow-victor-osimhen-new-contract-napoli-2026-release-clause-gbp100m/blt93b8ec27d863e7bf#csbdfa47303e17ca25" target="_blank">signing a new contract with a release clause worth around £113m ($144m) in December</a>. That deal may have been designed to ensure the Serie A club receive a huge fee for their prized asset, as the Nigeria international has now confirmed that he has made his mind up over his future, seemingly hinting at finding a new club, instead of remaining in Naples.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Speaking to CBS Sports, Osimhen said: &nbsp;“I have already made my decision on the next step to do at the end of the season. I already made up my mind. I already have my plan, I know what I want to do, the next step I want to take."Asked about the prospect of a move to England, he replied: "I think 60% of the people mention the rumours about me linked with the Premier League. The Premier League is one of the biggest leagues in the world.“I want to finish the season with Napoli strong then come up with the decision I've already made."

WHAT OSIMHEN SAID

In 119 games for the club, he has scored 67 goals and provided 17 assists, and spearheaded their run to the Serie A title last season, with 26 goals in just 32 league games.

He is currently playing for Nigeria at the African Cup of Nations, and his country have qualified for the knockout stages. Once he returns to Serie A, one can expect the rumour mill to continue to spin.
