<p>The midfielder has been a free agent since his contract with Everton expired in the summer. He's continued to train with the Toffees in the hope of earning a new deal, but has an offer to join up with Cesc Fabregas' Como after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/dele-alli-molested-as-child-everton-midfielder-dealt-drugs-hung-off-bridge/blt6d3058cb97119b7c" target="_blank">watching them beat Roma</a> on Sunday.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Fabregas has confirmed that Dele can train with Como if he wants to, and a change of scenery might be helpful after the 28-year-old <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/he-s-peed-off-sean-dyche-breaks-silence-dele-alli-s-latest-injury-setback-everton-grant-ex-tottenham-star-break/bltfca4ddd54d699433" target="_blank">failed to revive his career with Everton</a>. It's been nearly two years since he last played in a competitive game, appearing for Besiktas in February 2023, and former Spurs striker Sheringham is among the growing number of pundits who believe Dele won't play at an elite level again.</p>

<p>"I would still be very surprised if Dele Alli can come back to the top level. When players have been out for so long, I would be very, very surprised if there was a comeback there. He might play at a lower level," ex-Spurs and Manchester United striker Sheringham told <a href="https://www.gentingcasino.com/insights/pr/football-insights-teddy-sheringham-3/" target="_blank"><em>Genting Casino</em></a>.</p><p>"I hear he's been through a few troubles but it's tough when you haven't been playing for a few years.
