<p>A new era has begun for the U.S. women's national team, as their 1-0 victory over Brazil in Paris Saturday secured their first gold medal since the 2012 Games in London.</p><p>Mallory Swanson scored in the 57th minute to deliver the U.S. back to their glory days, marking the Americans' fifth gold medal overall. USWNT fans were palpably excited and those feelings were  apparent on social media, as fans poured in congratulations to Emma Hayes' gutsy team.</p><p></p>
