<p>U.S. international Josh Sargent provided a moment of quality for struggling Norwich Friday afternoon, smashing home from close range off a corner to draw Norwich level with Portsmouth. It was his 15th strike of the Championship season, and took him to 20 goal contributions for the first time in his career.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Sargent's strike wasn't enough on the day, though, as Norwich were rather outclassed by <em>Pompey</em> at home, losing 5-2 to see their playoff hopes fall apart for good. It might matter little for Sargent, though, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/usmnt-star-josh-sargent-move-striker-tipped-premier-league-transfer-leeds-nottingham-forest-newcastle-everton-monitor-12-goal-norwich-forward/bltaccd7907fc55b21a" target="_self">who could be in line for a summer move</a> after scoring 11 goals in 2025 alone.</p>
