<p>The 26-year-old has opened up on what he wants to achieve in his career, how he wants to be seen in years to come, and why he would favour winning football's ultimate individual accolade over winning a World Cup with England. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>When asked how he wanted to be viewed after his career, he told <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thZzcK5tgyM" target="_blank">Sky Sports</a>: "A legend of football, someone who changed the game. That's a main saying that I have, 'Don't play the game, change the game'. I want that legacy of being the greatest right-back to ever play football. I want to reach for the stars and that's where I believe my ceiling can go."</p><p>He added: "I'd say win a Ballon d'Or [over winning a World Cup]. Because I believe I can. I want to be the first full-back to ever do it.</p><p>"It's only after the morning after you retire that you're able to look in the mirror and say, 'I gave it everything I got'. WHAT TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD SAID

<p>Alexander-Arnold has entered legendary status for Liverpool since making his debut for his boyhood club in the 2016/17 season. The England international has scored 19 goals, bagged 83 assists, made 321 appearances and won a hatful of trophies along the way. But this season could be his last at Liverpool as he is yet to sign a new contract with the club, with his current deal expiring next summer amid reported interest from Real Madrid. </p>
