<p>Werner first joined Tottenham on a six-month loan deal from RB Leipzig last January and ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, he extended his stay by one more year. WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Werner still has six months left in his loan spell, however, the former Chelsea forward is in talks for a transfer to Major League Soccer side the New York Red Bulls, according to <a href="https://www.footmercato.net/a8191928019630196815-timo-werner-vers-la-mls" target="_blank"><em>Footmercato</em></a>. Werner's current contract with RB Leipzig, New York's sister club, runs until June 2026 and it remains to be seen if the three clubs can find a common ground so that the forward can end his latest nightmare stint in the Premier League early.</p>
