<p><a href="Alisha Lehmann has been named in the Switzerland squad for Euro 2025 but could be set to feature in a surprise new position for the national team." target="_blank">Lehmann made the cut for this summer's European Championship</a> despite being left out of recent national team call-ups. The Juventus star has said she "couldn't be more happy" and will be hoping to add to her tally of 60 international caps at the tournament which starts next month.</p><p></p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Lehmann heads into Euro 2025 after a season where she won the double with Juventus but was not a regular in the side. The Swiss usually plays on the right of the attack but could be handed a shock role for the national team, according to her manager.</p>

<p>She told reporters: "We put her on as a full-back, and she convinced us. She impressed us; she wants to help the team. That's why she's here."</p><p><strong></strong></p>

WHAT SUNDHAGE SAID

<p>Sundhage also responded to rumours there has been unrest in the camp about the intensity of the training sessions. She added: "It's not a nice rumor, but it's a rumor nonetheless. There are reasons why we have a team of fitness coaches and psychologists. We talk every day, and I think we're doing a good job so far."</p>
