<p>Speaking on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TkV4dvjZbQ" target="_blank">talkSPORT</a>, former United coach Meulensteen claimed that Fernandes is the key man for Ruben Amorim's side. Meulensteen believes that if teams can stop Fernandes from dictating play, the club's on-field threat is significantly reduced.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The 30-year-old has been remarkable since his arrival at the club from Sporting CP in 2020 and he has scored 95 goals and registered 83 assists in 279 games for the Red Devils. It is little surprise, then, that Meulensteen has identified him as United's principal threat.</p>
