‘Some of the best in the world’ – Alisha Lehmann tips Lionesses to roar at Euro 2025 as ‘great’ England team seeks to defend continental crown in Switzerland

<p>Sarina Wiegman’s side will <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/lionesses-euro-2025-squad-england-sarina-wiegman/blt9bdd64e9eb9f406e" target="_blank">enter that tournament this summer as defending champions</a>. They captured a prestigious continental crown on home soil back in 2022. They will not be surrendering that title without a serious fight.</p>

<p>Lehmann, who is now <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/live-like-star-alisha-lehmann-plays-down-celebrity-status-reveals-career-goal-juventus-boyfriend-douglas-luiz/blt347c6932b0433140 " target="_blank">with Juventus after bidding farewell to English football</a> in 2024, expects the Lionesses to be challengers on Swiss soil. She has told <a href="https://x.com/talkSPORT/status/1904237916987031623 " target="_blank"><em>talkSPORT</em></a>: “I think they have a great team, to be honest. They are always good. They have so many good players in the team, probably some of the best in the world.”</p>

WHAT ALISHA LEHMANN SAID

<p>While England prevailed as hosts three years ago, the Netherlands did likewise in 2017.
