A shock free transfer target for PL clubs?! Former Real Madrid superstar searching for a new club after seeing contract mutually terminated

<p>Rodriguez joined La Liga side Rayo Vallecano in the summer of 2024 as a free agent and signed a year-long deal with the Spanish side. However, the 2014 World Cup Golden Boot winner has been restricted to just seven appearances in all competitions. Rayo Vallecano have now mutually terminated the Colombian's contract at Estadio de Vallecas and Rodriguez is now free to join other clubs on a free transfer.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p><a href="https://www.ojogo.pt/4644483745/james-rodriguez-oferecido-a-cinco-clubes-da-premier-league/?utm_source=dlvr.it&amp;utm_medium=twitter" target="_blank">O Jogo</a> has now reported that Rodriguez is interested in moving back to the Premier League in January having spent one year at Everton during the 2020-21 season. The report has stated that Premier League sides Aston Villa, Wolves, Fulham and Nottingham Forest are interested in the Colombian midfielder.</p>

<p>Rodriguez has now become a free agent for the sixth year in a row as he has played for Everton, Al-Rayyan, Olympiacos, Sao Paulo and Rayo Vallecano having joined all these clubs on a free transfer.</p>
