The Matildas star was with Chelsea at a training camp in Morocco <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/sam-kerr-season-over-huge-blow-for-chelsea-star-player-acl-injury-blow-training-camp-morocco/blt836342f89a933560#cs916b69ff4489d267" target="_blank">where she suffered an ACL injury</a>, as confirmed by the club on Sunday. After being diagnosed with an injury that could potentially end her season, Kerr thanked colleague <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/usmnt-catarina-macario-millie-bright-support-sam-kerr-chelsea-acl-injury/blt57799c2b90368d0a#cs5db28aa17a59d97c" target="_blank">Millie Bright</a> for taking care of her.

The Chelsea forward uploaded a photo of Bright on her Instagram story with the caption, "Don't know what I would have done without my Millie B last few days. WHAT SAM KERR SAID

The 30-year-old Australia international started the season on a high, having scored nine goals in 12 appearances across all competitions. She also netted a hat-trick in the Blues' 4-1 win over Paris FC in a Women's Champions League group stage match back in November.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Kerr's injury comes as a huge blow for Emma Hayes' side who are preparing to play their first game of 2024 on Sunday against West Ham in an FA Women's Cup fourth-round clash. They are currently top of the WSL, three points clear of second-placed Manchester City.
