<p>The 24-year-old full back has struggled for game time since making the move to Bavaria in January 2024. Galatasary approached Bayern for a loan deal this winter, but were rebuffed as the German giants needed squad depth in defence. Boey has failed to nail down a position in the team in spite of injuries to Dayot Upamecano, Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Ito in the Bayern defence. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Galatasary remain convinced of the player's talents, however. They will likely be able to regain the player's services for a significant discount on the €30 million (£26m/$34m) they received from Bayern a little over a year ago.</p>

<p>Boey has made just 12 appearances in all competitions this season. His last start came in Bayern's surprise 3-2 loss at home to perennial strugglers Bochum. </p>
