WHAT MULLIN SAID

<p>Since the turn of the year, Mullin fell down the pecking order at Wrexham and even found himself omitted from matchday squads on occasion. However, his fortunes have begun to shift at Wigan Athletic. Last week, he earned praise from the Latics’ manager after delivering a strong performance in his debut against Curzon Ashton, where he came off the bench to play 45 solid minutes. </p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Although on loan with Wigan, Mullin still has two years left on his Wrexham contract. A return to form at the Latics could force the Reds to reshuffle plans and bring him back into the fold next summer as a veteran leader.</p>
